...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the 
  following counties, Jackson, Macon and Swain.

* WHEN...Until 500 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 354 PM EST, River gage reports that flooding of low-lying
    areas remain possible along the Little Tennessee, Tuckasegee
    and Oconaluftee rivers through late afternoon.
