While the heaviest rain has decreased, minor flooding persists on some streets and on area creeks. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including Harnett, Johnston, Sampson and Wayne counties. * WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 844 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in the last 3 hours. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area.
