...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast North Dakota, including the 
  following counties, Cavalier, Pembina and Towner.

* WHEN...Until 730 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 337 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Langdon, Cavalier, Walhalla, Neche, St. Thomas, Munich,
    Crystal, Osnabrock, Rocklake, Mountain, Hensel, Hamilton,
    Milton, Clyde, Leroy, Bathgate, Alsen, Wales, Backoo and
    Sarles.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message - Turn around, don't drown. Don't travel through 
flooded areas. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
