...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM MDT/1045 PM CDT/ THIS 
EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast New Mexico and western Texas, 
  including the following counties, in southeast New Mexico, Lea. In 
  western Texas, Andrews and Gaines.

* WHEN...Until 945 PM MDT /1045 PM CDT/.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 642 PM MDT /742 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
    rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small
    stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Hobbs, Seminole, Seagraves, Gaines County Airport, Nadine,
    Seagraves Airport, Paynes Corner, Gaines County Park,
    Higginbotham and Frankel City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
