...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following 
  county, central Lincoln.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 814 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms between Capitan and
    Fort Stanton. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Up to 1.25 inches of rain have fallen in the past
    30 minutes on the north side of Capitan along State Road 246.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Ruidoso, Capitan, Smokey Bear Historical Park and Fort
    Stanton.
  - Oso Creek and Salado Creek may experience flooding over low
    water crossings. Low lying areas within Capitan and Fort
    Stanton may be see minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
