...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following 
  counties, Blount, Knox and Union.

* WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 834 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area
    and will continue for the next couple of hours. Between 1.5
    and 2 inches of rain have fallen over the last two hours and
    additional moderate rainfall of half an inch to an inch can
    be expected over the next hour or two.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Knoxville, Alcoa, Plainview, Rockford, Halls, Blaine,
    Luttrell, Maloneyville, Mascot, Lake Forest, House Mountain
    State Park, Kimberlin Heights, Paulette and Seymour.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
