...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM EST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following 
  counties, Anderson, Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger, Greene, 
  Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Knox, Morgan, Roane, Scott 
  and Union.

* WHEN...Until 230 AM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1132 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Morristown, Clinton, Jefferson City, La
    Follette, Rogersville, Maynardville, Sneedville, Rutledge,
    Wartburg, Oliver Springs, New Tazewell, Bean Station,
    Tazewell, Plainview, Jacksboro, New Market, Huntsville and
    Helenwood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
