...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following 
  counties, Concho, McCulloch and Menard.

* WHEN...Until 845 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 650 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms from Live Oak to 5 miles north of Menard,
    moving southeast at 25 mph. This will cause arroyo and small
    stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Menard, Eden, Hext, Saline, Live Oak, The Intersection Of
    Us-83 And Highway 29, Us-190 Near The Menard-Mcculloch County
    Line, Us-83 Near The Menard-Concho County Line, Erna and
    Us-377 Near The Kimble-Menard County Line.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    crossings along FM 1221, Decker St. crossing San Saba River,
    County Road 2304 crossing Fitzgerald Creek, Callan Lane
    crossing, Mahan crossing Taylor Branch, Saline crossing
    Little Saline Creek, Long Mt. crossing Leon Creek, Blau
    crossing and County Road 2019 crossing Brady Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
