...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following 
  counties, Callahan, Fisher, Jones, Nolan, Shackelford, Taylor and 
  Throckmorton.

* WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 920 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms across southeast Taylor and southern Callahan
    counties...from Tuscola to Oplin to Cross Plains and Atwell.
    Movement as east at 20 mph. Light to moderate rainfall was
    across the rest of the Big Country.  This will cause urban
    and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Abilene, Sweetwater, Clyde, Stamford, Anson, Hamlin, Albany,
    Baird, Roscoe, Throckmorton, Blackwell, Nolan, Merkel, Rotan,
    Tye, Cross Plains, Tuscola, Roby, Hawley and Buffalo Gap.
  - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 230 and 323.

    This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    I-20 Frontage Roads west of Clyde, I-20 Frontage Roads near
    Putnam and Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
