...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northern Utah, including the following 
  counties, Davis and Salt Lake.

* WHEN...Until 515 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 321 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Murray, Bountiful, West
    Jordan, Taylorsville, South Jordan, Midvale, South Salt Lake,
    Herriman, North Salt Lake, Woods Cross, Kearns, Oquirrh, Salt
    Lake City International Airport, Magna, Millcreek, Cottonwood
    West, Canyon Rim and East Millcreek.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
