...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 100 AM CDT
FOR ST. BERNARD...CENTRAL JEFFERSON...EAST CENTRAL LAFOURCHE AND
NORTHWESTERN PLAQUEMINES PARISHES...

At 1252 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 27 miles south of Gulf Park Estates to 23 miles
northeast of Boothville, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Public.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Port Sulphur, Galliano, Myrtle Grove, Shell Beach, Pointe A La Hache,
and Empire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for southeastern
Louisiana.

A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not
immediately likely, if one is spotted act quickly and move to a place
of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a basement or small
interior room.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
