...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM EDT
FOR NORTH CENTRAL NICHOLAS...NORTHEASTERN KANAWHA...SOUTHWESTERN
BRAXTON...SOUTHERN ROANE...WEST CENTRAL WEBSTER AND CLAY COUNTIES...

At 1159 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Birch River to 6 miles east of Sissonville,
moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Clay, Clendenin, Birch River, Glen, Amma, Wallback, Harrison, Cowen,
Widen, Strange Creek, Procious, Boggs, and Ivydale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning 
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately to shelter 
inside a strong building. Stay away from windows. Lightning is one 
of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you 
are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
