* Until 430 AM EDT.

* At 331 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong 
  winds, and waterspouts were located along a line extending from 
  near Deal Island to near Currituck Sound to 11 nm north of The 
  Center Of The Albemarle Sound, moving northeast at 45 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

  Currituck Sound, Sandbridge, Currituck Beach Light, Knotts Island
