  Portage Lake to Huron Island MI to Lower Entrance of Portage Canal
  To Huron Islands MI Including Keweenaw and Huron Bays...

* Until 515 PM EDT.

* At 427 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located 12 nm southwest of The Lower Entrance of
  Portage Canal, or 49 nm west of Granite Island, moving northeast at
  35 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small 
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Grand Traverse Bay, The Lower Entrance of Portage Canal, and The
  Huron Islands.
