The National Weather Service in Juneau has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Glacier Bay...

* Until 345 PM AKDT.

* At 244 PM AKDT, a line of strong thunderstorms was moving north 
  across Glacier Bay National Park, with the strongest thunderstorms 
  located near Lone Island, or 26 nm northwest of Point Gustavus, 
  moving northwest at 25 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots, lightning and small hail.

  SOURCE...Satellite imagery.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be overturned in higher winds and 
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Lone Island, Tarr Inlet, and Muir Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open 
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal 
objects.
