...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT AREAS NEAR LAKE PLEASANT ALONG 
THE SOUTHEAST BORDER OF YAVAPAI COUNTY THROUGH 645 PM MST...

At 608 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking several thunderstorms 
along a line extending from near Coles Bay to the Cottonwood Day Use 
Area. Movement was east at 15 to 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, pea size hail, and frequent 
         lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Castle Creek Boat Ramp, Black Canyon City Trailhead, Coles Bay, Black
Canyon City, Black Canyon Trailhead, Rock Springs, Cottonwood Day Use
Area, Humbug Bay, Goose Bay, Lake Pleasant, Pipeline Canyon
Trailhead, Agua Fria N.M., and Sunset Point Rest Area.

This includes Interstate 17 between mile markers 242 and 251.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

If on or near Lake Pleasant, get out of the water and move indoors 
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles 
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close 
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not 
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
