...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of eastern Ouray,
northwestern Hinsdale, San Juan and southwestern Gunnison Counties
through 845 PM MDT...

At 813 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Silverton, or 38 miles northeast of Durango,
moving north at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ouray, Silverton, Lake City, Gladstone, Red Mtn, and Elk Park. 

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 550 in Colorado between mile markers 62 and 73, and
between mile markers 83 and 94.
 Colorado 149 between mile markers 62 and 83.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
