...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southwestern Linn,
northeastern Keokuk, northeastern Iowa, Benton and northwestern
Johnson Counties through 415 AM CDT...

At 330 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Keystone to Williamsburg to 6 miles
northwest of Washington. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow 
         around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects 
         is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Cedar Rapids, Vinton, Marengo, North Liberty, Williamsburg, Belle
Plaine, Fairfax, Tiffin, Atkins, Walford, Shellsburg, Swisher,
Newhall, Oxford, Blairstown, Van Horne, Keystone, Shueyville, Norway,
and Garrison.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 215 and 235.
 Interstate 380 between mile markers 3 and 12.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
