...

At 649 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Lake Catherine to Violet. Movement was
southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
New Orleans, Chalmette, East New Orleans, Lake Catherine, Meraux,
Arabi, Violet, and Lakefront Airport.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana near mile marker 232, and between mile
markers 237 and 255.
 Interstate 510 between mile markers 1 and 3.
 Interstate 610 between mile markers 2 and 4.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

office in New Orleans.
