...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN EDDY COUNTY THROUGH
545 PM MDT...

At 454 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms 8 
miles west of Carlsbad Caverns National Park, or 16 miles northeast 
of Pine Springs, moving north at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Carlsbad, Brantley Lake State Park, Avalon, Carlsbad North, Seven
Rivers Airport, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Lincoln National
Forest, Queen, Lake Avalon, Living Desert State Park, and Cavern City
Air Terminal.
