...AREAS OF DENSE FOG IMPACTING THE PECOS RIVER VALLEY AND THE
CAPROCK REGION THROUGH 9 AM...

An area of dense fog within the Pecos River Valley and parts of
the Caprock region will reduce visibility below one quarter mile
through 9 am. Motorists can expect sudden visibility reductions 
along U.S. 285 from Roswell north to Mesa, along NM-20 from Mesa 
to Fort Sumner, U.S. 60 from Melrose to Fort Sumner and Sumner 
Lake, as well as county roads within northern Curry and southern 
Quay counties. Allow extra time to reach your destination this 
morning and if you encounter low visibility slow down and make 
sure to have high beam headlights working. Dense fog is expected 
to lift rapidly after 9 am.
