...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN JEFFERSON...HARDIN
AND NORTHWESTERN ORANGE COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM CDT...

At 245 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Sour Lake, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor 
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Beaumont, Lumberton, Silsbee, Kountze, Sour Lake, Nome, Bevil Oaks,
China, Lakeview, Caney Head, Honey Island, Fannett, and Village
Mills.

This includes Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 856 and
833.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for
southeastern Texas.
