The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Keweenaw County in western Upper Michigan...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 829 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Windigo, or
  21 miles southwest of Siskiwit Lake, moving northeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted on Isle Royale National Park include...
  Siskiwit Lake, Windigo, and Mount Desor. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...


If on or near Lake Superior, get away from the water and move 
indoors. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the 
parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough 
to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now!  Do not be 
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

Persons in campgrounds should seek sturdy shelter until this storm
passes.
