* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Berkshire County in western Massachusetts...
  Northeastern Columbia County in east central New York...
  Southeastern Washington County in east central New York...
  Rensselaer County in east central New York...
  Bennington County in southern Vermont...
  Windham County in southern Vermont...

* Until 1030 PM EDT.

* At 859 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over New Ashford,
  or 9 miles southwest of North Adams, moving northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Troy, Pittsfield, Bennington, East Greenbush, North Adams,
  Rensselaer, Great Barrington, Hoosick Falls, Arlington, Townshend,
  Nassau, Manchester, Stratton, Adams, Williamstown, Lee, Lenox,
  Shaftsbury, Pownal and Cheshire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
