The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Barrow County in north central Georgia...
  Northwestern Walton County in north central Georgia...
  Southeastern Jackson County in northeastern Georgia...

* Until 1030 AM EST.
    
* At 958 AM EST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Youth, or 9 miles west of Monroe, moving northeast
  at 65 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Winder, Jefferson, Loganville, Statham, Arcade, Nicholson,
  Bethlehem, Between, Athens-Clarke County, Bear Creek Reservoir,
  Fort Yargo State Park, Bold Springs, Windsor, Nicholasville,
  Campton, Russell, Gratis and Westgate Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
