The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  West central Dakota County in east central Minnesota...
  East central Scott County in east central Minnesota...

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 826 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both
  tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located near
  Elko New Market, or 16 miles northwest of Northfield, moving
  northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree 
           damage is likely.

  Lakeville around 835 PM CDT.
  Burnsville and Apple Valley around 840 PM CDT.
  Rosemount around 845 PM CDT.
