The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southern Haakon County in west central South Dakota...
  Northwestern Mellette County in south central South Dakota...
  Northeastern Jackson County in southwestern South Dakota...

* Until 915 PM MDT/1015 PM CDT/.
    
* At 837 PM MDT/937 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm capable of
  producing a tornado was located 3 miles southeast of Nowlin, or 17
  miles northeast of Kadoka, moving southeast at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  southern Haakon, northwestern Mellette and northeastern Jackson
  Counties.

This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 165
and 174.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
