  Western Cherokee County in southwestern North Carolina...
  Northeastern Polk County in east Tennessee...
  Southeastern McMinn County in east Tennessee...
  Southwestern Monroe County in east Tennessee...

* Until 800 PM EDT
    
* At 729 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Etowah, or 9 miles south of Athens, moving east at
  35 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and golf ball size hail. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  western Cherokee...northeastern Polk...southeastern McMinn and
  southwestern Monroe Counties, including the following locations:
  Bullet Creek, Hiawasse Dam, Coker Creek, Violet and Unaka.
